The Borrego Village Association is offering a 5-hour Emergency First Aid - CPR Certification course free of cost to all full and parttime residents of Borrego Springs on Friday, October 25th. from 3pm - 8pm.

It's Memorial Day Weekend! Perfect time to a visit to Borrego Springs and Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Stop by the Sate Park Visitor Center for maps, books, and the latest information for visiting the park. For a primer stroll the interpretive trail (ADA compliant). Then get ready to be awed.

While the Spring Wildflower Bloom may be "over", with the fields of wildflowers along Henderson Canyon Road, Coyote Canyon, and some other spots somewhat dimensioned, due to the steady occurrence of spring rains many wildflowers and cactus blooms, along with a  "greening" of the desert lands

Want to catch a view of the badlands, but avoid the "crowds and dust" while heading up to Fonts Point? Try The Thimble Trail - easy to find just off S-22, the highway heading east from Borrego Springs, to the Salton Sea.

While the major "bloom" areas along Henderson Canyon Road and Coyote Canyon may be starting to fade the wet weather has "greened" the Anza-Borrego Desert with cactuses blooming and wild flowers popping up here and there.
