They're back!!!.....It's Bloom Time in the Desert....
.......and what an inspiring sight to behold. For information on where and how best to visit the very impressive spring desert wild flower bloom here in the Anza-Borrego Desert please visit the Anza-Borrego Foundation(ABF) website. As the official "friends" of Anza-Borrego Desert State Park they will post updates on where and how best to see the flowers. For more information you can also visit their bookstore, located in "The Mall" on Palm Canyon Drive and get the latest information from staff and volunteers, or visit the official state Park Visitor Center at the Park Entrance. The Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association Bookstore (ABDNHA), located on Palm Canyon Drive, west of Christmas Circle also has great information and knowledgeable staff to help guide your adventure. Directly across Palm Canyon Drive, next to Jilberto's Taco Shop, there is a bank of Port-o-Potties placed in the gravel parking area. Two of the units are ADA accessible. There is also a permanent, all pavement, easy access, ADA restroom located next to the Center Market, behind the Performing Arts Center, also located west of the Circle on Palm Canyon Drive. In between your potty stops check out Borrego Spring's wide range of restaurants, gift, curio, art, and antique shops, and the not to be missed Frugal Coyote Boutique and Thrift Store, whose proceeds support the Borrego Springs Youth and Senior Center. The Borrego Village Association thanks local community leaders Anne and Jim Wermers along with the Rotary Foundation, Anza-Borrego Foundation, Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association, Borrego Valley Endowment Fund and the American Legion for their help funding the temporary rest room facilities to provide comfort to YOU, the cherished visitors coming to Borrego Springs to witness the natural splendor of our desert in bloom!
