Cactus Loop Trail

This moderate in difficulty 1.1 mile loop is accessed just across the road from Tamarisk Grove Campground off Highway S3, Yaqui Pass Road. Look for the trail head marker with interpretive brochures.  The trail begins following the west side of a rocky wash and climbs up through a large path of Ocotillo. Look for numbered signs that correspond to the interpretive brochure to learn about the variety of cactus along the trail. When you reach the top, turn right and at about a 100 feet there is a lookout point. Backtrack to the main trail, turn right to complete the loop.
