Palm Canyon
Palm Canyon trail is within a short walk from ABDSP visitor center near the west end of the Palm Canyon Campground. The campground itself is the largest state run developed campground in the park and requires a camping fee or day use fee. The visitor center also requires a fee if you are parking there to hike the trail.
An interpretive pamphlet will guide you along your walk as you stop at numbered signs along the way. Spring time often presents a nice flow of water down the canyon and after hiking approximately 1.5 miles you will be able to relax at a large native palm oases. There are a few looping trails you can return on to add variety to your hike, most of which will return you to the trail head in under 4 miles total distance. While in the area consider checking out the Panoramic Overlook Trail for an additional 1 mile hike to the south of Palm Canyon.
