Southwest Grove – Torote Bowl Hike

Access the Southwest Grove Trail starting at Mountain Palm Springs Campground. 1.5 miles. Easy. Series of groves linked together by the trail. Highest grove is the largest. Popular watering hole for desert animals. Road runners, rabbits, coyotes and birds. You can continue 2.6 miles to the Torote Bowl. Strenuous.  Turnoff is at Mile 47.1 on County Road S2. About 30 miles from Scissors Crossing on State Hwy 78.
